1 ఐగుప్తులోనుండి ఇశ్రాయేలు

అన్యభాషగల జనులలోనుండి యాకోబు బయలు వెళ్లినప్పుడు

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

2 యూదా ఆయనకు పరిశుద్ధస్థలమాయెను

ఇశ్రాయేలు ఆయనకు రాజ్యమాయెను.

Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

3 సముద్రము దానిని చూచి పారిపోయెను

యొర్దాను నది వెనుకకు మళ్లెను.

The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

4 కొండలు పొట్టేళ్లవలెను గుట్టలు గొఱ్ఱపిల్లలవలెను గంతులు వేసెను.

The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

5 సముద్రమా, నీవు పారిపోవుటకు నీకేమి తటస్థించినది?

యొర్దానూ, నీవు వెనుకకు మళ్లుటకు నీకేమి తటస్థించినది?

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

6 కొండలారా, మీరు పొట్లేళ్లవలెను

గుట్టలారా, మీరు గొఱ్ఱపిల్లలవలెను గంతులు వేయు టకు మీకేమి సంభవించినది?

Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

7 భూమీ, ప్రభువు సన్నిధిని యాకోబు దేవుని సన్నిధిని వణకుము

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 ఆయన బండను నీటిమడుగుగాను

చెకుముకి రాతిబండను నీటి ఊటలుగాను చేయు వాడు.

Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
