1 దొంగత్రాసు యెహోవాకు హేయము
సరియైన గుండు ఆయనకిష్టము.
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

2 అహంకారము వెంబడి అవమానము వచ్చును
వినయముగలవారియొద్ద జ్ఞానమున్నది.
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

3 యథార్థవంతుల యథార్థత వారికి త్రోవ చూపించును
ద్రోహుల మూర్ఖస్వభావము వారిని పాడుచేయును.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

4 ఉగ్రతదినమందు ఆస్తి అక్కరకు రాదు
నీతి మరణమునుండి రక్షించును.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

5 యథార్థవంతుల నీతి వారి మార్గమును సరాళము చేయును
భక్తిహీనుడు తన భక్తిహీనతచేతనే పడిపోవును.
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

6 యథార్థవంతుల నీతి వారిని విమోచించును
విశ్వాసఘాతకులు తమ దురాశవలననే పట్టబడుదురు.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

7 భక్తిహీనుడు చనిపోగా వాని ఆశ నిర్మూలమగును
బలాఢ్యులైనవారి ఆశ భంగమైపోవును.
When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

8 నీతిమంతుడు బాధనుండి తప్పింపబడును
భక్తిహీనుడు బాధపాలగును
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

9 భక్తిహీనుడు తన నోటి మాటచేత తన పొరుగువారికి నాశనము తెప్పించును
తెలివిచేత నీతిమంతులు తప్పించుకొందురు.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

10 నీతిమంతులు వర్థిల్లుట పట్టణమునకు సంతోషకరము
భక్తిహీనులు నశించునప్పుడు ఉత్సాహధ్వని పుట్టును.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11 యథార్థవంతుల దీవెనవలన పట్టణమునకు కీర్తి కలుగును
భక్తిహీనుల మాటలు దానిని బోర్లద్రోయును.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12 తన పొరుగువానిని తృణీకరించువాడు బుద్ధిలేనివాడు.
వివేకియైనవాడు మౌనముగా నుండును.
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

13 కొండెగాడై తిరుగులాడువాడు పరుల గుట్టు బయటపెట్టును
నమ్మకమైన స్వభావముగలవాడు సంగతి దాచును.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

14 నాయకులు లేని జనులు చెడిపోవుదురు
ఆలోచనకర్తలు అనేకులుండుట రక్షణకరము.
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

15 ఎదుటివానికొరకు పూటబడినవాడు చెడిపోవును.
పూటబడ నొప్పనివాడు నిర్భయముగా నుండును.
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

16 నెనరుగల స్త్రీ ఘనతనొందును.
బలిష్ఠులు ఐశ్వర్యము చేపట్టుదురు.
A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

17 దయగలవాడు తనకే మేలు చేసికొనును
 క్రూరుడు తన శరీరమునకు బాధ తెచ్చుకొనును
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

18 భక్తిహీనుని సంపాదన వానిని మోసము చేయును
నీతిని విత్తువాడు శాశ్వతమైన బహుమానము నొందును.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

19 యథార్థమైన నీతి జీవదాయకము
దుష్టక్రియలు విడువక చేయువాడు తన మరణమునకే చేయును
As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

20 మూర్ఖచిత్తులు యెహోవాకు హేయులు
యథార్థముగా ప్రవర్తించువారు ఆయనకిష్టులు.
They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

21 నిశ్చయముగా భక్తిహీనునికి శిక్ష తప్పదు.
నీతిమంతుల సంతానము విడిపింపబడును.
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

22 వివేకములేని సుందర స్త్రీ
పంది ముక్కుననున్న బంగారు కమ్మివంటిది.
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

23 నీతిమంతుల కోరిక ఉత్తమమైనది
భక్తిహీనుల ఆశ అహంకారయుక్తమైనది.
The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

24 వెదజల్లి అభివృద్ధిపొందువారు కలరు
తగినదానికన్న తక్కువ ఇచ్చి లేమికి వచ్చువారు కలరు.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

25 ఔదార్యముగలవారు పుష్టినొందుదురు.
నీళ్లు పోయువారికి నీళ్లు పోయబడును
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

26 ధాన్యము బిగబట్టువానిని జనులు శపించెదరు
దానిని అమ్మువాని తలమీదికి దీవెన వచ్చును.
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

27 మేలు చేయగోరువాడు ఉపయుక్తమైన క్రియ చేయును
కీడుచేయ గోరువానికి కీడే మూడును.
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

28 ధనమును నమ్ముకొనువాడు పాడైపోవును
నీతిమంతులు చిగురాకువలె వృద్ధినొందుదురు
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

29 తన ఇంటివారిని బాధపెట్టువాడు గాలిని స్వతంత్రించుకొనును
మూఢుడు జ్ఞానహృదయులకు దాసుడగును.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

30 నీతిమంతులు ఇచ్చు ఫలము జీవవృక్షము
జ్ఞానముగలవారు ఇతరులను రక్షించుదురు
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

31 నీతిమంతులు భూమిమీద ప్రతిఫలము పొందుదురు
భక్తిహీనులును పాపులును మరి నిశ్చయముగా ప్రతి ఫలము పొందుదురు గదా?
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
